Chapter 17
An announcement is made through the speakers, declaring an unscheduled holiday when adults and children can get rest from work and school. Riding his bicycle to go look for Asher, Jonas thinks to himself that he has not been taking the pills for four weeks, and he feels guilty about the returning Stirrings. He also knows, however, that he cannot return to living without feelings.

I think that if he wants to have feelings, but he doesn't tell anyone, then it's okay.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Lauren
ReplyDeletei think jonas should have a choice in taking his medication
ReplyDeleteI think he should have a choice to take the medicane because i think that it is wrong that he has to take medicane.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Morgan! (:
ReplyDeleteIf he chose to not take his medications, then other kids in the same age group would do the same. They might all be released.
ReplyDeleteI like how the people got to be free from work.
ReplyDeleteBut i dont like how he has to take the pills.
I agree with denasse because I would also hate to take the pill's.
ReplyDeleteits so wierd how they dont have regular holidays so basically never kknow when theyll have a holiday and it could be any day that was chosen
ReplyDeletei agree with morgan :)
ReplyDeletein this chapter when Jonas sees Asher plays war when the kids Jonas is reminded about the blond boy. Plus I wouldn't like to live without feelings. Feelings are really important to other people lives. That would so suck if we didn't any feelings.
ReplyDeleteWhat I think is why would he not take his pills for four weeks if he knows he needs them that just stupid... in my opinion
ReplyDeleteI like that everyone got free time off but i felt bad for jonas because he felt horrible after he saw everyone playing war and he only knew what war really is
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for Jonas because he does not have any feelings. So he can not feel love.
ReplyDeletei would love to have a vacation myself i know that they were glad that they all had a holiday(like us, always want a holiday).
